A general view of the site. In the front our hang-around area and the van where the radio station was situated. At the very back of
the picture our accommodation tent can be seen. At picture, amateurs OH9LMP and OH8HUC.

Here Misters OH8HTS and OH8NXE are preparing antenna. At the back our accommodation tent with central heating system
functioning by Finnish wood.

Heros OH8HUC, OH9LMP and OH8NXE preparing the strange antenna. I don't still know what the antenna was but you'll see
after a few pictures. OH8NXE is reading the specification and trying to figure out how the antenna should be installed. Sure the
antenna is self-made but who made it?
|
OH9LMP putting the antenna up..
|
The secret weapon of the antenna - a brown (empty) bottle as a weight for some wires. As you know, in the Field Day there is a rule
that the antenna may only be attached (to anything) from 2 points, so we used a bottle weight to separate the different wires for
various bands.

OH8HTS starting/refueling/maintenancing the "TUNK" power machine. This served well for the 1KW output power HF station,
operator and accommodation lights.
|
Some of the operators at the OH8T/P station. OH9LMP, OH8NXE, OH8WM and OH8HQL. The gear was great, many thanks to
WM for his "Leistungsapparat", 1KW PA for HF.
|
Our night-time op. OH9LMP working. He never stops!

The last picture showing how to make coffee without disturbing the operation. Have a separate power generator, use it and provide
230V _only_ to the coffee machine.
Well, that's it. Thanks to OH8HBG for pictures. Pics were scanned and explained by OH8MXL.
